“I don’t know if I can blame this one and call it relationship weight, but the timescales do match.
“All I do know is that I have to do something about it, so I’ve started 75 Hard, which is a transformative mental toughness programme. For 75 days, no alcohol if you drink.
“You also have to drink a gallon of water a day. Now, half of this pint goes down my jumper, but I can promise that at night, I can chug a pint faster than I can here.
“This is followed by two 45-minute exercises: one inside and one outside.
“You also have to read at least 10 pages of a non-fiction book, and I’ve chosen David Goggins’ Never Finished.”
He continued: “If you’re still with me, you also have to follow a diet—any diet you want.
“By the time I complete the programme, I will have read over 750 pages of a book, two books.
“My confidence will have increased, and I would have dropped back down to my normal body weight.
“My grittiness, motivation, and determination will have grown – and that’s why I’ve chosen 75 Hard. Do you think you could do it?”
Kai and his partner Sanam won the winter series of Love Island in 2023.
After just one year together he got down on one knee and popped the question.
Sanam was pictured open-mouthed, having been taken aback by the surprise proposal.
The couple moved in together last June and recently revealed they’ve gone back to their normal jobs.
PE teacher Kai and social worker Sanam said their relationship is more important than having fame.
Kai said: “What makes Sanam and I different is that you have to decide what you want more – the fame that comes with the show, or the person you’re in a relationship with.
“You get invited to parties but we wanted each other more than that lifestyle. We enjoy every moment together and we do things the other person is interested in, too.”
